Hey guys,

As youGÇÖre all aware, Tranquility is still offline after todayGÇÖs scheduled daily downtime.

This is due to an issue with a code deployment today while patching for a few fixes in EVE Online. The issue caused the cluster to fail to start up correctly, and as such, Tranquility is currently unavailable for play for both EVE and DUST.

Our operations and development team are working on this issue as we speak, and weGÇÖre hoping to have Tranquility back online for you guys as soon as possible.

Right now, we donGÇÖt have an ETA for when the cluster will be back online and accepting connections, but weGÇÖll keep you updated in this thread.

Well complaining isn't going to fix anything guys and gals. Most players that complain must be young. Let us older ones tell you, waiting is it's own reward.

With that said, can't CCP just reload the server without the patch and fix the patch for tomorrows update?

Not sure if you've noticed but the servers are down.
- I would like to sit here and legit tell you how to do your job despite not having a clue what the f*** i'm talking about.
- I would also like compensation for the last couple of hours of bitching I've had to do because said servers are down, which right now they still are down.
- Now lets talk free game time because outside actually being sunny right now isn't good for my complexion, and there are other people outside and someone turned concord off. This is unacceptable and I blame you guys for this too.
- What about free Geckos or a Gecko BPC because clearly 3 hours of DT is just that unacceptable that we must have this. Cough up please.
- I demand free stuff because i've wasted my time writing this post that people may or may not legit take serious because they actually went outside and became seriously deluded. This is CCP fault also.

She means, how about doing it so it inconveniences a different "prime time". I mean, it's mid-morning here. I only noticed the extended downtime because I was going to log in and make a quick adjustment before going to work.

That is a fair point. I benefit greatly from DT always occurring during the AM. Of course, I'm also, PROBABLY in the largest single demographic that plays this game, North Americans.

I, for one, would be okay with DT being determined each time by a roll of the dice. Or on a rotation.
Of course, the techs who like having regular hours might not feel so enthusiastic.

to Devs
What is plan B ? .. plan A is fubar , obviously What's the disaster recovery procedure ? Are there emergency procedures in place / in the books ? What's the plan when you hit the wall ?

I love how people ask the Devs stupid questions like what is their plan b and can you give me free stuff while they are in the middle of trying to fix the problem.

OH YES the devs should just stop fixing the servers and explain to you exactly what they intend to do and how they intend to do it so YOU can decide whether you approve the strategy or not...since I'm sure everyone here are expert programmers and has intimate knowledge of the EVE deployment.
